Mid-season team report/observations.

Hunters – Despite getting shafted on draft day, seem to be doing a lot with a little. Serratore being first goalie taken seems to be a mistake, 2nd to last in save %. Team would probably be better with a better goalie between the pipes.

Hutts – Look good on paper. Commitment issues? Geib out for the season hurts. If Halligan/MikeD can replace with a scorer and get some defense to show up, Hutts could get themselves right back in it with half of the season left. Halligan only goalie with worse save % than Dom at the moment.

Imperials – First time captain, Curt Hobson, seems to have this drafting thing down. Everyone on their team seems to be committed. Everyone with at least 1 point except for one. Lennertz a diamond in the rough? Preseason trade seems to have worked out. Baniewicz has not gotten hurt (yet). Trainor the new Sullivan? At least they dont have Dom.

Jedi – Xaviers commitment to food deserves some praise. He loves Fess’s sausages. Pisko and Donnie clearly did not like Cleary the being the leading goal scorer so they both decided to put up 6 and 4 respectively in their game against the Hutts. More spin moves from Captain X = more wins. At least they dont have Dom.

Raiders – New year, same team, same story. Eddleman’s squad always starts slow. Rumor has it their #1 pick is more committed to foot hockey. Eddlemans got a broken back. Walsh best value of the draft? Flood is still good. As always, expect them to make a run at the end of the season. At least they dont have Dom.

Rebels – Despite have 2 of the top 4 scorers in the league, Rebels still sit at a disappointing 2-2-2 record. Waaaah has decided this is the year to become a team player and moved back to defense and has been replaced by Baer. Speaking of defense, they should probably try and play some. Luckily, Lalumera is a stud and makes 50 saves a game. Not sure Frains team loses in a 3rd straight championship if they don’t start playing some D. At least they don’t have Dom.

Scoundrels – Rebels, this is how it is done. 2 of the top 4 scorers in the league AND a 5-1 record. New year, new Dan Berkery? 19 points and 0 PENALTY MINUTES! NOT ONE! Top team in the league. Jenkins has Laux trying at least 75% of the time this year as opposed to the 25% effort in years past. Everyone contributing. Good forwards, good defense, goalie is better than Dom. Gonna be tough to get a W against Scoundrels for the rest of the year.

Sith – Everyone on their team has scored a point besides Chewy. Great trade! Well drafted. Balanced at forward and defense. Cherp getting hurt sucks for them but its ok because they have the G.O.A.T. (who is barely recognizable with his new cage). Nash remains maybe the toughest forward to play against in the league. Jerry still doesn’t believe in the Browns. Freas for Sith MVP?? Chesto playing lights out. At least they don’t have Dom.

Troopers – Good team when they have 9+ guys. Injuries and quitters have made this difficult. Brady doing his thing alongside “Bowl Cut Bob”. “Poor Mans Flood” seems to be heating up even though he only takes 3 warmup shots before every game. Carroll’s got the moves but no finish. Brady first guy to beat someone up and get a double minor. At least they don’t have Dom.

Wookies – God damn can we get some offense? Feder leading the way with 5 points. Only other player with more than one goal is Brady, with 2. Jones needs to regain his 2014 form. Keep Ferrick on D and let him skate end to end everytime he is on the ice. Goalie needs to do more pre-game tennis ball juggling. At least they don’t have Dom.
