Ok, here’s one for the collective Wissahickon Spring League mind. Who has won the most championships in the eleven year history of the league?
PS. What’s the collective IQ of the WSL, 72? 145?

It came down to the final night of the season but the playoff seeds are now set.
Playoffs start Monday night with:
9 pm: Pork Roll (7) vs North Stars (10)
10:35 pm: Rams (8) vs Murphy’s (9)
At least four WSL teams will finish the season under .500. Can any of them, topple a top team and make a run in the playoffs?
The League Office is reaching out to the players to ask a question about Tournament Day, Saturday, June 20th.
Q) What should the League do to make the Tournament Day even more fun?
Sadly, they’ve already ruled out the possibility of something that rhymes with “quippers.” But please, leave your suggestions in the comments.
On Saturday, May 30th, the two games have been pushed back an hour.
The Wood Ducks vs. Pork Roll game is now scheduled for 3 p.m. and the North Stars vs. Rams game will take place at 4:35 p.m.
The Statisics page now has a Random tab (desktop only). There you’ll find some fun stats on who is leading the league in penalty minutes and who is an empty net sniper.
Of particular note is how many close games have been played this season. In 40 games played there have been 3 ties and 8 one goal games. And in addition to that, there have been 12 empty netters this season. Never before have we seen such a balanced season.
Check out the rest of the Random tab, and other statistics tab. For instance, you’ll learn from the Team > Special Teams tab, Schaefer has only committed 8 penalties so far this season. Sissies.

Bill Shafer, a youth hockey coach, is featured in this ad for Callex Ointment. The commercial is filmed at the Wissahickon Skating Club.
We just wonder, is Callex Finney approved?
