The Statisics page now has a Random tab (desktop only). There you’ll find some fun stats on who is leading the league in penalty minutes and who is an empty net sniper.
Of particular note is how many close games have been played this season. In 40 games played there have been 3 ties and 8 one goal games. And in addition to that, there have been 12 empty netters this season. Never before have we seen such a balanced season.
Check out the rest of the Random tab, and other statistics tab. For instance, you’ll learn from the Team > Special Teams tab, Schaefer has only committed 8 penalties so far this season. Sissies.

Bill Shafer, a youth hockey coach, is featured in this ad for Callex Ointment. The commercial is filmed at the Wissahickon Skating Club.
We just wonder, is Callex Finney approved?
Captains, if your team has a substitute goaltender, please alert the scorekeeper to make a note of that on the scoresheet. We’d hate for your regular goalie to be credited with that nine spot that got dropped on their replacement.
But seriously, maybe your goalie should have skipped that one-year old’s birthday party, the christening or the dance class and just shown up. Sieves!
Tebow who? Here’s the big signing from Sunday.
The Wetas looked like a solid (albeit old) team on paper when this season began. But poor attendance and injuries have had them near the bottom of the Wissahickon Spring League.
General Manager Bernie Gillespie isn’t one to sit idly by, and today he signed, with league blessing, free agent Dean Kline.
Kline, who has been a mid-season addition to the WSL before, will make his 2015 debut on Tuesday, versus the Rolling Stones.
Keith Jones has been known to lay down a wager or two in his time. And now he’s taking the Wood Ducks to win the WSL.
